Currently using the inbuilt dac in my Onkyo 9070. It’s not too bad, considering it is fed via optical, but I really want to get the computer out the equation and be able to use a tablet as front end for streaming services, and maybe off a portable usb drive.
Ease of use and reliability of connection very important, I will be hard wiring to a router. I like to be in the front row, in terms of presentation.
Throw in your suggestions, apart from pi based, I just don’t have the patience for it.
Budget is up to £1500, maybe £2500 for a complete all in one.
