View Full Version : FS. Rotel RCD-855 CD player Lampizator'd

For sale is my ever faithful Rotel 855 converted to Lampizator spec by my good friend DAWG on this forum some 3 years ago. The Rotel hasn't missed a heart beat, and has been the best CD player I have ever owned....and I've had some! DAC is the soulfull Philips TDA 1541A....Mr Lampizator Lukasz recommended this CD player highly...decent on board components, and the true 16bit DAC
I'm so impressed with this unit, I asked Alan to modify another 855 for me, except using higher end Lampizator components. We'll that beast is ready to be picked up, so this one has to go.
It has been NOS, Valve output, new clock, caps etc...the list is pretty endless, but it is a gem of a machine. Just hope the new one delivers! For more info on mods, I can get in touch with Alan..(a gentleman BTW) and he could forward me the details you want.

i'm based in North London, near Turnpike Lane...an audition is welcomed. Could post, paypal gift but only to the AOS diehards...

Price, £240 + postage...to source then buy the bits and then supply a good donor, you're looking at £350!

Thanks so much for the offer Don, but I am just upgrading my DAC and need every opportunity to enjoy it. Would be looking for a good transport :)

I'm not sure there would be any point in paying a premium for the mods if you use the digital out Chris.

Agreed, but the mods do look interesting and will definitely improve SQ.
