I've had this amplifier for a while now but life circumstances have changed and I've got a start letting go of surplus valve kit. Unfortunately I've had to start with the Quintet...

I thought it best that Tom Willis of Art Audio sort it out before I was to sell it...
not only has it been repaired /serviced but it has four new matched quad EL34 valves as recommended/supplied by Tom... as well as good quality GE Ecc82 and Philips Ecc83 NOS valves
During the overhaul, Tom advised to have the amp fixed to Triode mode as it would remove surplus circuit wiring giving a better sound, avoiding the pentode/switching circuit...

The amplifier visually is pretty immaculate, a well kept example, no scratches or dents...has original packaging, although I would prefer you to audition and cash on collection.

I've spent the best part of £400 on this amp getting it to top spec, so buyer will get a fine example, ready to go, no need to spend any more money on it.
To recreate or build an amp of the same quality, you'd be looking at £3k plus!
There was a Mk.2 version on eBay, on sale by hifi world journalist priced at £1.7k
There's very little difference in comparison except for the looks!

Selling to AOS members for £650
Being advertised on the bay for £699

Willing to post to the usual AOS suspects...postage is no more than £18...it's a fairly heavy piece of kit!
