My main regret is that there is no direct replacement for the superb sounding CS8414 receiver IC that is used in my DACs. If there was a simple solution to try other receivers I would have loved to do that. But so far all my attempts with adapter boards etc have ended up in failure. Maybe some bright spark might devise a more sensible solution so that I can try other receivers and find out how they compare? I was thinking of trying out the DIR9001 since it can work on 5V, supports 96KHz, and has a low jitter value of 75.
