Kind of an ugly beauty if that’s possible.

Lovely! Always fancied a PM-94 to go with my CD/CDA-94 but they’re a bit spendy...

I’ll be seeing how it stacks up against the Krell later.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkNot a very fair comparison. For some reason I thought this had separate L/R tone controls but it doesn't seem to.

Why isn’t it a fair comparison?

Some of these high end Japanese integrated amps of the 80s and 90s were built to incredible standards. I've kept mine and lost much more expensive gear.

I agree Geoff , it’s basically an old monster vs a newer monster . My Pm4 saw off many a damn good amp ( Teac distinction Ai3000 )

I will be selling this but before i do I thought I would install a regular 3 pin iec socket rather than the original 2 pin rectangular one that it has .
Or should I leave it ?

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI wouldn't mess with it If you're moving it on. I'd swap it if I was keeping it link term

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI just think they're on different levels. For a start I presume the Krell is a power amp, and I imagine its transformer will be a multiple of the spec of this one's. The PM94 would be a bit closer.
