Linn Sondek LP12 Original Walnut Afromosia Plinth / Linn Ittok LV II Tonearm / Linn Troika MC phono cartridge
Interest check on this wonderful ‘unmolested’ Linn Sondek LP12 Original.
It was purchased from Grahams Hifi London in 1985 and the Linn Ittok LV II Tonearm added in 1987
Pre Cirkus Bearing No corner bracing on plinth.
It has been with 1 very careful classical spinning owner since and has been kept in fantastic condition.
It has the Valhalla power supply (33rpm) that has been completely rebuilt with new capacitors and resistors by industry standard Class A in Sheffield.
A nice New belt and she really sings. I’ve had posh LP12s with thousands spent on upgrades and this, musically, stands with them.
The Linn Troika MC cartridge is original and has NOT been retipped, it looks like it has plenty of life left and has not been used in the last 10 years.
I had it playing for a few days and it sounded utterly lovely through the Hashimoto HM-7 SUT sounding very sweet, I repeat it’s not a new cartridge and I obviously can’t vouch for what left on it, but under a Loupe it looks good to me. I'd be happy spinning my collection on it!
The clear lid is in good condition but has the usual light scratches and marks etc.
Hinges work fine but as most LP12 hinges they don't keep the lid up permanently.
Comes complete with a Black Target TurnTable Wall Shelf for isolation,
a must for suspension decks IMHO.
Prefer collection from Barnet please for obvious reasons and a demo.
No original cartons but could provide a double skin box on request.
Could possibly meet at a reasonable distance also.
This is a good honest turntable, well looked after and will give many more years of good music. A very handsome thing, how a Turntable should look IMHO.
Whole package (I won’t split it!)
£1100 firm to AoS senior members I'm away till early May, so collection after that
