Hi looking for an SME 3009 empty box (actually need it for a 3009-R tonearm but guess I won't get an empty box for that)...

If you contact SME direct and ask for service/parts, used to be a very helpful guy called Lawrence who will sort you out.

Finding a second hand one will be very difficult and the 3009R internal packing box is different to the standard 3009 packing box.

i Do not expect the box to be cheap I would say minimum £100 on a good day, interesting to see what they charge theese days I know series V boxes are in excess of £200

I was quoted about £75 + delivery for a foam insert and corrugated box for an SME V from the SME parts dept last month. J7 of Audio Origami sells really nice tonearm boxes with cut foam inners for only £20 + delivery.

Thanks I will try Johnnie at AO as have checked with SME & and they dont have them anymore...
