Hi Guys, I'm selling my Creek integrated amp which comes with an onboard Creek Sequel 3 MM phono pre-amp which I bought last year new from Amazon and which is an excellent upgrade if you are into vinyl however if not I can remove it and re-install the plug on the PCB so you would then be able to use the AUX input as another line stage.

The amp is in very good condition but there is a slight mark on the front facia (see photos) but it's not really that noticeable and looks worse in the photos.

I bought the amp from a guy on Gumtree about a year ago after I was recommended to buy one from someone on here (apologies can't remember who it was now) anyway it's an excellent amp and has great reviews on the internet and amongst Creek owners and Creek still service and repairs these amps.

Personally I think that the amp would benefit from a service which Creek charge about £60 for I believe so would be happy to send it to them for the new owner and Creek will send it on to the new owner.

The amp does work perfectly well on all inputs but when it's just switched on it can sound a wee distorted for about maybe a minute and then it's fine so I think it's just a warm up thing but I thought I'd mention that anyway.

This amp of mine was made in 2003 and really does sound excellent but I was using it along with a pair of Spendor S3/5R2 Classic speakers which are now sold so I'm looking to go in a different direction now and intend to buy a stereo receiver or a pair of active speakers in order to cut down on the box count as I really only listen to internet radio or FM radio and the TV these days.

I'm looking for the £350 for the amp without the Sequel 3 MM board or £450 with the phono pre-amp plus postage, I have the Creek box but not the inserts but I'll find something suitable to pack the amp in the box.

I paid £130 for the Sequel MK 3 Phono Pre-amp which is MM only but it has loads of loading options for different carts you just set a series of dip-switches to suit whichever cart that your are using pretty simply but yo duo have to remove the cover to do this.

I would prefer pick up but will post to a UK postcode and might consider posting this abroad but that will be at the buyer's expense at cost obviously or you can arrange your own courier but it will have to be a drop off service as I'm not around much during the day.

I'm happy to deliver this up to about 50 miles from Glasgow.

Any questions please don't hesitate to ask or PM me for more photos etc.

Buyers are welcome to come and audition the amp but you would have to bring speakers however I do have a set of headphones so you can listen to it through those.

Payment by bank transfer or PPG or cash on collection from G76.

Thanks

Tony

Hi Guys, here's the specs of the amp but on the advice of a fellow AOS member I'm going to contact Creek tomorrow re the distortion issue, which appears to be only on the AV input, but it may be the input selector that's faulty but I'll update this post when I have more information.

For the moment though I think the best thing is to suspend the sale of the amp or if someone wants to make an offer based on a spares or repair sale then I'm open to that.

Thanks

Tony

Okay so I contacted Creek audio who have advised that the input selector is faulty and advised me to disregard the AV input and simply use another input or replace the input selector or use a pre-amp and disconnect the pre-section of the 5350 SE and just use the power amp section with a different preamp.

Creek said that they can replace the input selector for around £150 and that includes postage each way to Creek with me paying for the postage down to them at about a tenner and then back to me/new owner, from Creek, the input selector @ £70 plus fitting @ £30 and one courier charge of £10 plus vat which I think is very reasonable however personally, given the age of the amp, which has a manufacturing date of July 2003 (near the end of the production run at 2004) and the fact that, so far only one input is affected, then I don't think that it's worth spending that amount of money on the amp.

So with all of that in mind I am now offering the amp for sale including postage for £210 without the phono pre-amp or £310 with the phono pre-amp.

I'm happy to sell the phono pre-amp separately for £100 posted to a UK postcode.

I'm also open to reasonable near offers but if the amp doesn't sell then I'll keep it.

Thanks

Tony
