What cheapish integrated amps have separate pre and power sections ?

I need a cheap amp to use when I'm trying out DIY pre and power amps so ideally looking to get hold of a cheap integrated which can have have the pre and power sections unlinked so that it can be used as either a pre or a power. Anyone know of any? Other option is just to buy a cheap pre and a cheap power I suppose but single box solution would be better. Any pointers?

Quite a few of the NAD's, eg. 3130, 3010i, Proton 520 etc.

The seventies Rotel RA-610 and RA-611 have removable pre/power phono socket links and can still be picked up at sane prices. Nice sounding amps!

I haven't, seen that written though, and a friend that builds speakers for fun, has accidentally shorted the output of his 303 several times. It survived, he uses it most of the time for his experiments because of this.

Tony L (Pinkfish site owner) wrote this, although I reckon that he's quoting someone else:

"The 303 is remarkably stable and able to survive extraordinary abuse, in fact you can short the output without blowing it up!"
