Yes, after the Walker Brothers split up, Scott Walker 'ploughed his own furrow' with his solo career. He became interested in the work of Jaques Brel and Walker's later career was heavily influenced by Brel. It was dark, enigmatic, and not to everyone's taste but certainly individual.
RIP Scott
The Walkers were a bit unusual being a vocal trio but the girls certainly loved them, they made some great recordings, my girlfriends favourite was 'First Love Never Dies' which I think reminded her of a boyfriend previous to me, sadly. It's probably my favourite too. Fabulous voice, Scott.
