Sony SS-E70 Speakers

I’m listing a load of stereo equipment for a friend which belonged to her late father. Having tested them I was extremely impressed. Anyone here aware of them, heard them, want to provide a valuation or even want to buy them?

Do they have cable inputs at the back? Ones with wires going straight in without sockets were generally bundled with a stereo and not much cop.

Having heard some similar Sonys a long time ago now I'd guess they are reasonably capable. I think your problem is there is no demand for 1970s Sony speakers (or Sony speakers in general) excepting the real high end models and the market even for them is small. I think realistically you'd do well to get a ton for them even though I'd guess that they would compare favourably to anything new at under £500 at least.

Sony made in West Germany :( the covers look challenged cosmetically , and who pushed in the caps ? :( I cant see much value in them , But who am I ? Price them at what you think is reasonable and go from there , but do try and clean the grills maybe vacuum them and get all the dust off

these are currently on ebay now,i reckon about £100 once cleaned going by the prices.

Looking about £50-60 to someone who's not bothered what they look like.

A few pairs available between £60-130 but the higher price is from a well know inflation artist and they are mint.

I say £50 due to the condition and undesirable speaker terminals.
