View Full Version : FS: Auditorium 23 Step up Transformer for DENON 103/R
Designed specifically for the DL103, this is the finest SUT available and elevates the Denon to a new level - wide open, organic and utterly beguiling.
Discrete little unit with rhodium sockets. It also works superbly with Dynavector and EMT cartridges apparently.

Reason for selling; I now use a Decca as my primary cartridge and my 103R will run through a head-amp.
RRP £500
looking for £400 inc UK postage
How about the A23 and a nice 103R with 3g stabiliser fitted for £500.
The 103 has low hours and is in mint condition, no original box though, but I have a suitable alternative.
Having spent the afternoon with my freshly serviced DP80 bearing comparing my 103R/A23 combo with my London Jubilee I am left scratching my head as to how narrow the gap is, the Jubilee wins but not by a significant margin, it has greater deftness of touch and joie de' vivre but that's about it. The 103R/A23 really is a bit special, but I cannot afford to keep both.
103R NOW SOLD
Hi Nick,
Where have you been, dude? I hope all is well :)
Good luck on the sale of the A23 - anyone serious about hearing their 103, optimally, should snap it up A.S.A.P!
Take care.
Marco.
Wotcha Marco
Thanks for the bump fella.
All is dandy chez scoobs thanks, I have just been scaling down on forum time generally tbh. Good to pop in from time to time though.
G'day,
Is this still for sale?
Regards,
Tuyen
Hi Tuyen
Please will you pop into the welcome area and introduce yourself? This is a requirement before you hit the personal and trade areas. Many thanks.

Hi,
Is it still up for sale?
Would you be willing to ship it to Portugal?
Thank You
Read a lot about it. It is a great SUT for the DL-103.

The original add is from 2010 so probably long gone
Knowing the OP, I'm pretty sure that the A23 will be long gone. There are a few of these units around, though, Jonathan, so why not place a wanted ad in Private Exhibitions? :)
Failing that, as an alternative to the A23, I can thoroughly recommend the Highphonic HP T6S, which I used to great effect before I bought my A23 (it also provides two step-up levels, which will allow you to experiment, in terms of gain, with your CJ):

Joynetcafe are also great to deal with!
Marco.
