Adopted, died when I was 2.
Step, we haven't spoken since my dads funeral where she told me I wasn't allowed to come to the wake... Well she made her son; my step brother tell me (she's not only a cow, but a coward with it) - I won't be ringing her any time soon!
Biological - just found her, rang her on mothers day, she was very happy!

Families are weird. My grandmother had a row with her father, and didn't speak to him for 30 years. My father had a row with his father, and they didn't speak for over 10 years. Interestingly, the cause of both rows was the same - religion!

My mother in law died just over a year ago this last april 25.
So its just days over a year.
She was a very good woman,who lived a very hard life as a Catholic in Pakistan,she prayed the rosery menny times a day her whole life long till she died at 50 years old.

She got to come see us in the U.S for a couple of months,told family her dauthter was happily married and she could die at home with no worry now.
Damed if she didn't too.

Most mothers make a lot of sacrifices for their children. Mine did. ;)
For this and for several other reasons, she has all my respect, even if she's a bother sometimes... :)
