View Full Version : Crap Weather For March!

Never stopped raining, so had a lazy stay at home day. Searched for Amazon Fire stick (Anita was convinced we'd bought one at some point). Turns out it was plugged into a/v amp all along, and I'd simply been pressing the wrong remote buttons. Felt a bit like finding a forgotten tenner in a coat pocket! Still couldn't find owt worth watching though.
Not surprised if you don't have prime. Get Netflix on it if u get that

Oh yes we do have Prime, we got that ages ago for cheaper faster Amazon deliveries. Their same day delivery is great, and you can track its progress right up to your door. I suppose lots of delivery firms are like that now.
Also I do make (limited) use of Alexa, really just for radio, and shuffling songs for lazy listening. Not impressed with sound quality, even on my super-budget second system I can hear the difference between it and running free Spotify from laptop.
One day I might get into it proper, but for now I find all the posts on here regarding computer-based music make my brain hurt.
Sorry for going on about it - anyway weather here now is cold, clear, no wind. Should get worse this afternoon, I think we've got something coming from the west :(

10C here. Pretty gloomy and overcast and there's a strong breeze, I think it may rain. Normal for March I guess!
Sun is out here, off and on. Supposed to be colder tomorrow and with rain all day. On the plus side the daffodils are out so it must be Spring.
occasional sunny spells but mostly overcast, windy and cold. 2/3c

+1 :D
1c and snowy... nasty wet stuff
We woke up to snow! Thankfully, as the sun came out, it's all melted now... Not really interested in snow, after February!

The gusty wind here is ridiculous. Some of the blasts are as strong as I've experienced.
The heavy wendy house in the garden has been shifted off its base and that's not happened in the ten years it's been there. There are bits of tree all over the park, fences are down and wheelie bins scattered down the road! Bet there are a few sheds missing roofs now.
Alternating here between torrential rain and bright sunshine.

Definitely don't want snow here.
At the house where I'm working, they let the dog shit on the patio and aren't too fussed about picking it up. Snow would just hide it. I've already been caught out by one, which I then walked up every step of my ladders. That dog is a proper turd factory, but hardly surprising as it eats constantly and is fat as a fool.
So I'm now the self-appointed cack warden, doing a patrol each morning before I start. Wouldn't mind the weather being a bit colder, that would make picking up less messy. Some of them look like chicken korma :(

Awesome - and those babies are the best ones for freezing into lollies! Before doing that though, separate the coagulated jelly on top, and use it later as a 'fruit syrup' to pour on top:drool:
From your new avvy, it looks like you've been enjoying a few!:D

P.S you work for some right filthy bassas....

Horrible Horrible weather today! Its done my head in. Blowing a gale with a wind chill factor that makes it feel a lot colder.
Couldnt do anymore shopping in this....blowing everything away. If you could find some shelter the suns rays are quite nice but theres a bloody arctic gale blowing my head off. 7 degrees but feels like bloody 2
Glad to be back indoors

Yup, perfect day for staying at home and snuggling up in front of a roaring log fire, sipping something nice and listening to some choons, which is what I've been doing!

All change here. The stormy winds have died down, it's pouring with rain and there's lightning in the sky a couple of miles off with rumbles of thunder.

The house itself is really nice, it's a big old Victorian house, and they've thrown a lot of money at doing it up while retaining the original features - you would love it. They do try to keep on top of their dog's 'activity', the problem is the little bastard is relentless. I don't think it helps to have food available for it all the time though. It needs a proper mealtime/exercise routine.
Perhaps they just need a subtle hint - it's only a little dog, so I reckon if I picked it up and squeezed it, I could use it as a piping bag and write on the patio "stop feeding me crap". Like putting icing on a cake.

As in the film, the witch or the doll?
weather turned nasty again.. wind strong and plenty heavy showers.
It was quite nice this morning, although blustery, so took the chance to go to Sainsburys for salmon etc... glad i went then, as the weather has turned nasty again.

It's mild at 13C, but there's a hell of a wind and broken dark clouds. At least any showers aren't likely to last long.
Mild and dry, no wind. Which makes a change from the previous 5 days. Very overcast though.
lots of heavy showers punctuated by sunny spells ..6 c and very breezy... was very stormy last night again
SNOW! Lots of it and still coming down.

There's a right old rainstorm outside at the moment. The rain is lashing against the windows and the wind is blasting away. Wouldn't like to be out in it!
Been drizzling here all day but the temperature is quite mild. Heavy rain forecast for later tonight so maybe that's what you're getting now. Probably should go out now and get some booze in. None of this Lent nonsense for me.

We had a holiday touring round Europe planned for that date, but the car's been acting up, so we've decided to postpone it a couple of months and hope the car fixes itself. Decisions, decisions... ;)
Heavily overcast. Windy. No precipitation. A bit chilly.
The most boring of all weathers.

22c and glorious sunshine in Dordogne ;)
Nice day here today, dry, sunny and currently 15°C... Finally got the chance to cut the grass for the first time this year, and it badly needed it!
So we'll take advantage of the nice weather and spend a day in the garden, then I'll treat Del to dinner later, at one of our favourite local haunts: https://www.machinehouse.co.uk/
Looking forward to it - work hard, play harder, lol:D

You won't be popular with Monster Cat. They love long grass, so they can pretend to be tigers :)
Gorgeous, spring-like day today here in sunny Wrexham, and currently 15°C! So, as it's such a nice day, I'm going out with my dad for lunch to one of our favourite country pubs, where both the food and the views are superb:

Really nice yesterday but I had already laid out clothes for an interview so I was sweating like a pig. I couldnt go as casually dressed as I wanted. I wanted a certain layered look but I didnt know it would be a really sunny day.
It was dull and breezy the day before
You cant plan anything based on our weather
a bit cooler now, and looks like staying like this... about 9c but to get colder next week as april comes in.. still overall its been a fairly decent winter
Cooler? it's 15°C here mate, and we're out enjoying the sun! Not bad for late March:)

Yeah the scumbags really don't like the cold - probably why they always wear gloves when they go out at night, even in summer.
It's also harder to have a wank in a bus shelter.
