Hi,

Bought this to try this RXM III ( Integra ) on my ADC XLM III cartridge but it has a fault as can be seen from the photos. As anyone who knows these cartridges they'll know that the cantilever sits in a little metal channel, this one is silver, the original is gold coloured, however when you fit the stylus that little metal grooved part droops down in front of the needle making it unuseable as it drops onto the LP. It is obviously meant to be fixed like the one on the original stylus.

You'll see what I mean from the photos.

Fixable ?

If so how, touch of glue?

Or return for refund which I've already been offered by the seller so no problem there.

My other thought is... Even if fixed is it worth keeping to fit the XLMIII as I didn't notice the Integra on the label when I bid on it

Thanks.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190301/b85ba67d7867cf1fcb0ef19943c6dd5a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190301/ed34196fff67005bc165b915653eb497.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190301/64ef1eda250206efbfd1a456610e4c39.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190301/b00f5c7ce4ea77b66b9dd1ad932f0f11.jpg

That metal bit is part of the magnet circuit. I've had one fall out from an Integra myself. I superglued it back and it was fine.

The Integra styli are technically the same as the regular ADC styli, they were supplied to go with the Integra cartridge body, but should be fine with yours.

You can of course send it back if unsure though. Bear in mind that good original styli are hard to find, so it could be worth keeping.

This one is NOS, box was still sealed too.

In case you wondered, this is the Integra. It's the cartridge built into its own headshell. I've had several.

http://i65.tinypic.com/wjfd3m.jpgAye, I found that once the box arrived and had an oops moment when I realised it wasn't the correct one, but hunting around I had a suspicion it would fit ok.

Just hoping that once glued it sounds close to the original stylus.

Got one of those integras too. Quite good although I don't use mine.

Use the superglue sparingly, just a dab along the back with a cocktail stick will do.

Squirt a little superglue on a bit of kitchen foil and use it from there with the cocktail stick. You may find a pair of tweezers handy..
