New CD player or......

I currently have an MF cd3.5. Been with me for a long time and guess I never really found anything that I thought was particularly better. So here is the question I had thought about sending it off for some JS audio refurb update or I did think about replacing it. I still use cds as I have many of them . I missed out on that beautiful recent Toshiba, so I would consider new but open to options or is the refurb a better solution;. Just not up to speed with CD players anymore. Is a Teac pd301 any good for example .

I'd be more inclined to splash out on an expensive dac upgrade than on a CD player with the potential for the laser to go at some point, unless there are still plenty of spares out there.

Well just added the topping d30 and so far have been impressed but conscious that my CD player is 10 plus years old and at some point may go. Hence the us audio “refurb” or time to move it on and look at something newer but not sure what the “new cd” players are.
