Can someone lend a hand? I'm looking at silver solder to use with interconnects (if the post needs to be moved admins do your magic).

I'll most likely be buying it from Hifi collective and they have 5 brands. Is there a good guide somewhere that I can follow to get the sound/product I want?

WBT, is the best flowing ,and holds well. Even with minimal cleaning or flux. Some soldiers work better at lower temps too.
Worth the extra money if you ask me.

Out of the WBT options I see id assume that more silver the better ie 4% is better than 3.8%?

After which the only difference would be the diameter? Again the bigger the better or am I missing something?

Just buy the 10% Ag content and have done with it, it's what I use.

If using silver type solder, it is advisable to keep the silver content below 3% See Alloying Element roles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solder
As can be seen in the information, Silver is or can be a impurity if the silver content is too high. Generally between 1% and 3% silver should provide good result.

Getting your temperature right and using a good iron and using good skill with soldering are all factors to make good solder joints, probably more so than the use of
slightly exotic materials. which is not to say having all of the right procedures for soldering and using a silver type would not be beneficial.

For circuit boards and wire joining on a cold day use 365 degrees C, but on a warm day lower this by 15 degrees. Let me know if I can help further.

Soldering and crimping much better still. the ultimate whilst we are here is micro welding. Forming a metal to metal contact
like crimping as Andrew suggests, then soldering is more than adequate,

Honestly, I think I've got a set of interconnects you made, Tony gave to try out before I buy. I'm over there tonight I think so I'll pick his brain some more.

I've got my cables, plugs and now solder decided.
