Hi,

Started to take plinth off thorens td160.

Seems the plinth is more connected to the deck than i thought.

I noticed that one wire has cone away.
In the picture it is the very thinn black wire visible towards the bottom of the central area in the attached photo.
It has detatched at the bottom2541925420

What is this?y

The first photo eas taken months ago.
The 2nd today when taking apart.

Have i pulled the wire out inadvertantly?

the wire is attached to the main plate underneath.

It is black i think (color blind).

In this pic one can see it hanging down.

Yes it is an earth wire. It's screwed to the chassis and the other end to the mains earth coming in.

Thanks or the replies.
All sorted now.

Reconnected earth to connector block where the earth is attached from the power cable.
Powers up and turns, will do a listen test later.

I didn't fry myself so all seems well.
I dislike electricity!
