I would consider standing outside the room waving the banner, if there's a bacon butty on offer :) and some cake

I Could possibly supply a banner, at just the cost of postage, but Artwork and printing / lamination on me.

Would need decent high res logos or images to be used as a decent base for the Artwork, also dimensions needed..

Funnily enough, I have access to a large format printer designed to print banners etc. I’ll look in to how much it would cost you if you like (it’s for use within the company so isn’t run on a commercial basis, just to cover costs).

Edit: sorry, I see you already have this sorted.

Mark, you crack on, yours maybe better actually..
It's not sorted by any means, just putting our resources together.

Nothing to technical

How about

WAM PFM AOS
Intergrated

As all 3 forums will be in attendance and invited :)

Just my thoughts on audio harmony ;)

ijrussell has just been banned for six months, in line with the rules on mentioning (albeit indirectly) the banned forum: https://theartofsound.net/forum/announcement.php?f=16

FYI, from the above:

Please also note that oblique references made by anyone to NVA, HFS or Richard Dunn, such as 'he who can't be named', 'the place that can't be mentioned', or 'the gear we can't discuss', will also attract the same ban.

...which includes statements such as: "A forum who cannot be mentioned here", Ian [quoting you]. If anyone else wants to be a smart arse and deliberately break the rules, then expect a similar 'holiday'!

From now on, guys, we're taking a *very hard* line on this., as some folk are taking the piss, and it won't be tolerated. Therefore, everyone should make sure that they've read and FULLY UNDERSTAND the above rules, so that they don't get caught out and receive a similar ban.

Ok, back to the thread topic. This post is for reference only and should not be quoted or responded to.

Cheers!

I was thinking more along the lines of the forum banner that is at the top of the page - the collage of equipment and logo. Marco, I presume you, or one of the moderation team, have a high res image of this?

Marco
19-02-2019, 19:34
Yeah, baby... Pretty sure that Nick will have, so if I can help let me know:)

Good to see the three main UK forums [only ones of any real significance] getting together on this:thumbsup:

On second thoughts, it would be you who would be displaying and paying for it, so I guess you are entitled to have whatever you want. I would need some high res graphics though: I think they require a 400dpi pdf. This is assuming the print dept have some left over media to print on as it is usually ordered in for each job (jobs significantly bigger than this that is).

Spelling doesn’t matter, in forum world anyway, I was just teasing - their/there, to/too are very commonly typed mistakenly.

I’ve just had a look at the show spreadsheet that lists exhibitors and an AoS room isn’t listed, nor is a pfm room.

I've lost count the number of times seeing 'your' used instead of 'you're' (you are) - spelling mistakes are one thing but incorrect usage of words is another. Notwithstanding this, 'intergrated' is a spelling mistake only - not incorrect usage of a word and I believe it should be used on the banner in this form as a tribute to Audio Al and his laudible efforts and to remind bozos that we do indeed live (and hear) in an imperfect world.

Look - even I'm at it now. 'Laudible' = 'laudable'.

Clearly an insult to Audio Al from a 'fount master' and 'moderator' who's now desperately trying to 'cover up his tracks'. We all know what you mean.

No, just an opinion on the treatment of Audio Al which I presume I'm allowed to air - unless you as a 'moderator' and 'terminator!' know otherwise.

I'm not aware so far, that you have been barred from expressing a view. However, it wasn't helpful.

Nor was your rather terse comment 'sticking an oar in there' particularly helpful either. I'd expect more from a moderator but then, perhaps my expectations were artificially high.

No, I don't have an 'agenda' - I'm just hifi enthuisiast who loves listening to my favouriite music through the best equipment I can afford and I'm a forum member here. Do you have an 'agenda' (whatever you mean by that) in asking me the question? I must admit, I'm puzzled.

Well in vain attempt to get back to things that matter . Audio Al great to see you will be at Kegworth I am also putting a system in a room to see how much damage I cn to the gathered ears . Let me know your room number when allocated andI will amke sure a drop in and have a listen .

I am delighted that someone from this forum will be at the show and if PFM are also going to have a room that will be even better. There is no toither show quite like this one were in the main no one is trying to sell you anything just play you some music and let you hear lotts of equipment that you may not have ever heard before . We need to value this show and ensure that it gets support both in exhibitors and visitors. I am sure it would be possible for more from all forums to have rooms and for me at least the more exhibitors the better because of the variety of equipment that will be on show.

Hello Marco - unfortunately, I'm over 3900 miles away at this point in time but rest assured, when I return to the UK to retire , I will be attending wherever it's held and the AOS 'intergrated' room will be my first port of call - no doubt about that!

I will ask again ( PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD ) as I won't be putting up a banner at the show so continuing this thread is pointless

It does seem a bit weird; all we can talk about is the banner, but, to paraphrase Mark Twain, 'There ain't gonna be no banner.'
