It's been a tremendously difficult decision to move this little golden gem on, but here we go. It's in near mint condition, boxed and with new Sovtek EL84 and GE5751. I'm 8 miles east of Nottingham and would very much prefer collection only. I'll be nipping up to Leeds on 1st March and can bring to Kegworth but would require payment by BT beforehand. Any visit and listen in my system is very welcome indeed.

Ahhhh Ian! Regrets will be coming your way.

These amps are such a bargain at preowned prices. I’m not selling mine any time soon.

I am hanging onto mine. They are beautifully put together with real pride of ownership.

Perhaps worth reminding people that the headphone facility is also very highly regarded.

I assume this has the variable impedance selector on the back to better match it to different speaker loads.

Thanks Richard. I simply can't keep it all, and my decision to sell is (for once) a decision made by the head rather than the heart. I do like to mess about with power amps from time to time and parting with my Croft combo would put a stop to this. Plus I'd need a phono stage. I (most of us !) can't complain but I'll be sorry to let this beaut go. I know I'll get the £1300 for it I want if I stick it on ebay with a plus for fees, but I just don't want to !

That was the chap I bought it from.

I thought I had a sale was but it didn't work out. There's a fellow AoS member popping round to have a look on Sunday and if he definitely wants it I said I'd hang on for a bit (he needs to shift something to buy it). I'm letting Russ know the outcome of this afterwards.

I didn't rush to relist on HiFiForsale and the 'wam as I was really enjoying using it !
