If that's in GWO, it could be a great buy. they were going for £600-700 a year or so ago. A very capable Turntable and far more substantial than the it looks. Stick a new AT95 variant on and it'll be a great combo.

Not what your after, but think about a Rega P2.
They are excellent as starter decks and so easy to use.
Once had one myself (my dads best ever present to me) and kept it through my formative years!!

For a beginner, I am not sure I would recommend a Sony biotracer. Too much to go wrong. The auto balancing function can get temramental . I looked at one a little while ago and it struck me as too much trouble, compared to a half decent manual arm.

Technics are a lot simpler and very robust, i tidied up an SL-Q202 recently and was very impressed with its construction, operation and performance. The q202 is semi auto while the Q303 (and similar older Q3) is fully auto

And the Pioneer Adam has offered looks a really nice deck for a very reasonable ask.
