F.S: Arcam DV 137

As I'm no longer listening to the 'Silver Discs', I'm parting company with them (see separate thread) and this really excellent Arcam player.

I would say its in excellent condition apart from a mark on the top which I've shown in the photograph. This is not really visible in situ. There is a very low pitched squeak from the tray as it opens however it has done that from the day i first got it. It plays impeccably and I've enjoyed it immensely. It has the original remote but no box I'm afraid. For collection or I can bring it to you or meet if within striking distance of East Sussex/Kent. Otherwise I'll consider to post within the UK at cost/insured etc. I'd like £140

I don't think you'll find any player that can output SACD via optical or coax. The format was specified that way, primarily as joint developers Sony had a record label too.

Lawrence might well be right. There is a downloadable manual if you follow the link to Arcam's website page for this model. That should be able to answer your question. I never used optical out on it. Best wishes.

Further to whats been commented already i think you can pass out the sacd signal in digital via HDMI

yup, you can. an hdmi audo extractor in line, decent ones do pass through for the hdmi and syphon off the audio to coax or toslink.

Further to whats been commented already i think you can pass out the sacd signal in digital via HDMII've noticed that on recent players but didn't want to suggest it in case it wasn't the case on older ones. If it is possible this would be an amazing Sacd transport for little cost.
