How these have remained in like new condition is a credit to their previous owner and quite unbelievable.
A matched pair with all of their original packaging too , blimming lovely...

I thought that was a mark/scratch too Grant but it’s actually the grain .

looks like they have not taken the stain near the knots. not that it matters really. tannoys eh... god you must be getting old :ner:

lol... a biggish amp and the spendors should sing well if they're in fine fettle. Ive not got an amp to do them justice alas..all imo.

Yup a nice set of Tannoys will set you up nicely. They say if you like Tannoy, you wont change

I'd love to hear some BC1's someday. I read that they have a natural warm tone.

Judging from the black plastic bezel on the Coles supertweeters, I'd say the BC1's are later examples. In seem to recall early ones having white cone surrounds.

Correct Geoff , the serial numbers are in the 24,000 and I believe 27,000 was the last run .

I've been using Tannoys since my early twenties and I certainly wasn't old before my time! :)

I was driving a Jaguar Xjs V12 when I was in my early 30’s and was forever being called an old man, not bovered then nor now [emoji16]

I remember riding my brand new Kawasaki S3a 400 and having a race with a nice shiny one of those up Tottenham Court Rd in the seventies, from one set of lights to the next. I blew the Jag off each time and eventually the guy wound the window down and said "what the heck are you riding?" He couldn't believe a dinky little bike leaving him standing!
