Here for sale is my Philips 22AH280 280 DC solid state preamplifier.
It is top of the Philips audiophile Black Tulip range and a real statement piece of their engineering ability. It is 220V and extremely rare to find in this country. Not to be confused with the cheaper AH270 which has a totally different circuit.
The 280 is a superbly fully featured performer. There are tone controls, various filters and acoustic controls, all defeatable - please see pics. There is also an excellent headphone input. A phono stage is also included but I have not tested this as always used it at line level.
There are a full set of inputs - aux/tuner/phono 1/phono2/tape1/tape2 and three outputs.
Overall in good physical condition - nb some scratches from when it has been rack mounted.
Special forum price is £400 cash on collection from Highgate, North London.
