NITTY GRITTY RECORD CLEANER Model 1.5Fi
Not being used but this well made, cracking record cleaning system needs to be!
It's cosmetically well used. It works fantastically well and is very effective.
The manual liquid 'pump' has been disconnected (by the previous owner) due to it being temperamental, so now simply spray the cleaning fluid on instead with bottle spray, which is better.
These manual machines are great once you get the hang of them.
Place the record on the spinning platter, spray the cleaning fluid on, brush it around the grooves on the record, flip it over, hit the button after 4 spins on the cleaning pads, hit the vacuum button, in 4 spins that side is pristine clean and dry.
Flip the record over and repeat for side 2. Simple! so about 4 minutes and you have a pristine dry
record.
I now have a £2,500 ultrasonic Audio Desk System and I have to be honest, this cleans just as well, albeit a more manual experience.
It comes with the optional 7" adaptor, goat hair brush, platter stabliser, cleaning fluid & spray bottle, spare velvet cleaning strips and replacement Capstan rubber. All the replaceable bits are available in the UK.
It has a tatty Box (not sure if its the original)
I'll state a pointless fact, these are well over £1100 new, but this aint new.
I have had it a couple of years and it's clean a fair few records
so How about £220.
I'd prefer collection from Barnet or can meet at reasonable distance.
or post at cost. (quote later)
