Well someone had to rescue this beauty.
According to the previous owner only a low tone is heard through the right channel.

Just read online that the capacitors can hold the 90v supply for up to 2 weeks!

The owner had a tt with his other luxman so perhaps it’s a faulty phono stage on this one ?

Could be the relay contacts need a clean. Had an old amp with that problem.

Gorgeous looking beast, would be interesting to give it the once over if you could bring it across.

Hi Alan, thanks for your input, I do sometimes travel up your way so I may stop by ( and bring that phono stage I have too [emoji6])

Ok so the right channel does have a fault [emoji30]
When I connect the multimeter to the left channel all is well but when connected to the right channel a small battery icon appears!! Voltage to speaker terminals?

Has it been somewhere a little damp or is that black cap all leaky and brown? Sometimes it never fails to suprise how much dust and crud gets in and settles over time

I think that’s just old glue , had it around the base of every cap in an old marantz.
