I have been a fan of Judie Tzuke for many many years, and I had the chance to see her in concert years ago in Liverpool and she was fab....

Today, I am at the gym and a track comes on the tv in front of me, it was the Freemasons featuring... Bailey Tzuke! I thought at first it couldn't be, but it seems she has her own myspace page too..

Anyway, I am not that keen on Bailey's music coz I am an old git... but it is very nice to see her carrying on the family tradition.

That's all! :)

Definitely up my street, and one to watch. Rather interestingly (or not) this provides a connection to tonight - if any of you are sad enough to have watched Britain's Got Talent - there was a young girl (14 I think) who sang Sarah McLachlan's Angel - wow - she was brilliant, despite being very nervous - anyway, the connection - Bailey Tzuke has been linked to a "project" (more googling needed on this...) according to Wikipedia (yes, I know...) "Bailey has since contributed vocals to Rollo Armstrong's new project "All Thieves"." What!? Rollo Armstrong (Faithless, brother to Dido, and co-writer/producer of her albums) has a new project! But that is an aside - the connection (if you are still with me... zzzzzzzzz is that Rollo under the moniker "Dusted" remixed - yep - Angel by Sarah McLachlan in 2001...

Another connection to the forum - bit of a sub-thread going on on the "Spinning Today" topic about Alanis Morissette - Bailey Tzuke contributed her vocal talents to a Freemason's track - Uninvited - a cover of the Alanis Morissette song...

Anyway, back on topic, I enjoyed those tracks thanks Steve, will be looking out for her album later in the year.

Hi Alex, it was the Freemason's track that was playing at the gym. Glad you like it.

If you go to Judie Tzuke's home page you can buy Bailey Tzuke EP direct from there. (old one) and new one Strong as well (also an EP)

Both Bailey and Mum have been contributing vocals as a guest to dance music since Judie did a couple of dance flavoured albums, of her own a few years ago...namely The Freemasons-Unmixed, Morcheeba-Dive Deep (two tracks of Judie singing)..

Nice to see the Tzukes doing their own thing free of record labels.

Thanks Neil - interesting that Judie had worked with Morcheeba - I don't know that album, I stopped buying their work when Skye was sacked, but I see that she has rejoined them, in which case I will forgive the Godfrey's and buy the missing albums! ;) - £4.08 for both including p & p from Amazon - new album due in June, which will feature Skye. NME (http://www.nme.com/news/morcheeba/49729) - happy days!
