New Roon update has Qobuz integration now, which is very cool.
Anyone have experience of both...pro’s con’s etc?

Have a Tidal Hifi subscription and not overly enamoured by MQA tbh.
Be good to get opinions on the comparison.

Merci buckets.

I've had subs with both.

On my system Tidal sq is a bit brighter and more focussed. tbh the more brightly lit sound can get a bit wearing.

Qobuz has the record labels indexed so you can include it in searches or browse by recording company. A powerful way to find new music.

Qobuz can take longer to start from mid-track.

Their music catalogues are not identical.

Qobuz suits me best overall.

Heard Qobuz is better for classical Jerry?
That would suit me...

Hmm, not sure about that.
The Qobuz search by record label feature is good for classical, probably other genres as well?
Can't think why it is better otherwise. Both have good catalogues, but Spotify is better than both in terms of quantity.

Those with Roon can search by record label in Tidal.

I couldn't get qobuz to work on windoz. Was most disappointed. Also with their response so I stayed with tidal who's library is huge enough for me.

All the streaming services are guilty of poorly repackaged material, with different album titles and shoddy artwork.
Material is often repeated horrendously.

The nice people at Qobuz have given me a three month CD quality trial. OK the library is not as vast as Spotify but the sound quality is better. Full integration with MyVolumio cloud player.
