Hi,

My name is Robert and having had a twenty year break from being slightly obsessive about hifi and upgrading I've recently been sucked back in.

My current set up is as follows:

Naim nap150
Nac72 with Avondale 821 cards
Rotel rcd855
Beresford Caiman
ATC SCM40's
Naca5

Musical taste includes classical, pop and a little jazz and blue grass. Not so much rock tho.

I live up in North Yorkshire.

So that's me. If anyone would like to suggest the next move, feel free. I'm thinking a teddycap for my nac72. Hmmm.

Hi Robert, and Welcome to AOS.

A Yorkshireman with an interest in Bluegrass? Which artists you like? It's a fascinating area for me; I came into Bluegrass via Clarence White and the Kentucky Colonels; Clarence having played electric with The Byrds in his later career, but been a successful and influential bluegrass player through his teens. I've also worked back through Norman Blake, Roscoe Holcomb, Flatt & Scruggs, Dock Boggs... it'd be interesting hear what stuff you rate!

Anyway; glad you found us - !

Welcome to AoS Robert.

'Classical, pop and a little jazz and blue grass'. Nothing wrong with that. If you let us know a little more about the type of classical (composers) and jazz (performers) you like, then we might be able to suggests some new stuff for you to try.

Yes of course! Forgive me if I came across as appearing somewhat omniscient and patronising; no offence intended.
