* Looking for a quality Garrard 301 or 401 as a birthday present for my 60th!
* Ideally with a decent tonearm & cartridge fitted
* Ideally plinth needs to be "Layers of Beauty" type (and the smaller the better)
* Ideally serviced by one of the experts (Loricraft CTC or Bastin)
* Can collect within 100 miles or so of Nottingham

A recently fully refurbished CTC cream Garrard 301 with oversized platter...Carl Ellis birch ply plinth,SME 3009r tonearm & Ortofon MC Vivo Blue cartridge....thought the Garrard would be playing second fiddle to the LP12 but both myself & my wife are blown away with it...

No doubt the 301 is going to give the LP12 a run for its money far more than I expected but will keep both ....best of both worlds...

My top spec LP12 didn’t hang around once the Garrard idler laid it’s charms on me..
