Can't afford to any quality sound equipment since I'm a student at the moment but it doesn't prevent me from reading about it :)

We all started out somewhere and usually with very little. Most of the fun is in the process of learning and building your collection. I have been in that "process" since my Navy days over 3 decades ago.

I am still learning and still acquiring gear.

Nice to see folk are coming on from far and wide, and don't worry about not being able to afford high end gear, I can't afford some of the gear some of these chaps have either! :(

Doesn't mean high quality sound isn't accessible though! :)

Yes, Welcome (if you are even newer than I).

High end sound can come from very humble sources. Check local sales and of course eBay etc for good Sansui, Pioneer, Kenwood etc. Still very nice and pretty reasonab le compared to today's so-called high end stuff.
