.....or have a number of threads just dropped off the face ?

What's happened, and can someone put them back please ?

Make sure you clear your browser cache etc. The migration copied the database over in it's entirety, so there's been no data loss along the way...

Which threads were you thinking of? Maybe we can track them down.

There's the one about using an EMU 0202 as a DAC for playing 24/192 files into my system.
It's a thread I started this afternoon, after the site came back up on line.
The whole lot has gone.

There's one Hamish posted with a humerous photo of David Cameron.

There are quite a few other threads affected.

Are these posts / threads from this afternoon only? I wonder if there was a period when posting was possible on the old forum, after the database copy had been taken? Shouldn't be the case, but I'll ask the question...

Yeah and the volcano photos thread I started

It's all stuff from after the time the site came back up this afternoon.

OK. Can we keep an eye out for any other oddness. I will ask the question tomorrow. It does look like the problem is isolated though; new posts and threads are appearing at the moment...

Sorry about the hassle chaps.

I have received a couple of e-mail notifications of postings that were not there when I clicked the links. I also thought it was browser cache but it isn't, the postings have gone.

Yeah I just had about half hour of database error... :( hope it's nothing to problematic!

No... that was my cockup! remind me not to change a password without checking where it gets used!

Well I had the other forum pages pop up last night (the ones with the missing threads) and couldn't this thread.

I decided that I wasn't in Kansas anymore - posted as such - and logged out.

This morning this forum is in operation, or is it ?
Am I really here, or am I imagining things.
These two realities are confusing things to deal with.

'Normality' is grossly overrated ;)

I quite agree with you.
However, one reality is tough enough to handle - two is just impossible.

It's the fact that there's 7 odd billion reality's to deal with that I don't like

When you close your curtains at night how do you know the World is still out there...? You can't see it...? Only your memory tells you it's still there.

.... Right, I got this idea... Now bear with me ... Take a cat, right, put it in a box, with a vile of radioactive material... ..... ;)

Lol! Del and I are going there again in July, so hopefully this time we'll get a chance to meet up, as the weather should be a little, erm, different this time :eyebrows:

Jesus Christ you really picked it last time. I'm surprised you got through the road from Helmsley. I have to use that road a lot and I don't care for it much even in the summer.

It would be a pleasure to meet up and have a beer.

Marco

Yes I should be able to leave my skis at home this time! Look forward to sharing a few beers
