Gold Note B-5 Tonearm with cable - low hours
Not an arm that appears for sale often at all, if ever?
I’m looking to try something new so moving this one on. Came as standard on my Gold Note turntable.
Geometry is as per Rega (222mm platter centre to arm hole).
The B-5 is a slightly de-specc’d B-5.1 arm that can be bought new for £718.
Selling this B-5 for £460
Likely only 50 hours use. Price is for arm and cable only, not the cart. Cable retails for £175 alone.
(Cart is for sale too if of interest - a Gold Note Vasari Gold MM with very low hours).
Comes with the stock cable. Arm and cable comes with what is called a German Din connector (not a standard DIN). Gold Note do offer cable upgrades. Stock cable that comes with this arm is made from 99.9999% oxygen free copper conductors featuring a Gold Note proprietary design and gold plated plugs. PTE insulation, 55pF/mt capacitance and 1.0μH inductance. Resistance is 0.0002ohm, copper shielded.
Actual tonearm details:
Double counterweight system to set up most phono cartridge (up to 15 gram mass) - other extra weights available.
Finely machined Aluminium 6000 arm.
The vertical ball-bearings are pivoted through stainless steel bolts manually adjusted, the horizontal movement is driven by two micro ball-bearings directly inserted in the main rectified pivot.
23mm diameter arm shaft so can be secured on a large array of turntables. And with an effective length of 242mm with 19mm overhang makes it easy to install/use on most turntables.
