Hi there everyone! Was an occasional lurker who decided to sign up as I've learned a lot through this forum. I am a proud owner of 2 beloved Techie's! I'm quite attached to them and there is strong sentimental link as I learned how to DJ on them back in 1998. These MK2 tables are 20 years old and both are working great! These were used in a home DJ set up by my cousin who was the first owner. Later on he offered to sell it to me, I jumped at the chance and I'm so glad that I did. It's rare to have something that is 20 years old and is working great and it manages to bring a smile to your face.
Through the years I made some mods to one table: Rega 251 tonearm, isonoe feet, van den hul IC, michell tecnoweight, ff achromat, AT PTG ii MC cart, new paint (black). The other table is bone stock (scars and all) with a Denon DL102 mono cart, I have a few mono LP's and I'm looking to expand that collection in the future.
My taste in music has changed through the years, these days I listen mostly to: Jazz, Electronica, Folk, Classic Rock, Classical (when the mood strikes), and everything in between.
