After much umming and ahhing I finally pulled the trigger on a step up transformer for my Audio Technica PTG 33 11. It's a Rothwell MCX which offers a x10 gain so should be ideal for the cart. Isn't PayPal balance a wonderful thing - it's like free money :lol:
I've been looking through the old threads about step up transformers (going back to 2012!) and the consensus seems to be that SUTs bring benefits that MC phono stages can't match. I'll be using mine with a Croft RIAA.
