What's best for me.

I have a passive pre and have always had in mind an upgrade. What I would like to know are the pluses and minuses of both these designs sound wise.

So I am unable to ask a question regarding my equipment? I do know one moderator listed a component in his signature and discussions are still in the archive because I have been reading a couple of comments, although no real detail of the differences were described in full.

To be fair or whatever, and I am not trying to start anything mind you, but the banner that has this information at first glance, almost looks like part of the advertisement banner and I think potentially could be easily not really read/seen as such. I'll get my coat now....
