General Electric VRII mono cartridge fitted with 1.0 stylus
comes with additional Brand NEW .7 Stylus replacement.

the red turning key on top is aplastic and as usual with these has perished a bit so is not
really useful for turning the stylus round, which is not an issue at all as can be done with thin pliers.

Cartridge Works perfectly Sounds remarkable and tracks really well.
only seeing as it is in the drawer and a Miyajima Zero is on Mono duty.

Comes complete with headshell.

Wrong time of year. With stylus these are routinely £100 or thereabouts over on the Lenco forum and that's without being already all set up on a headshell the way this one is.

The VR stands for variable reluctance which is an approach that was too complex to be affordably mainstream in the stereo era (though Tannoy and others did make stereo VR cartridges). For mono though, this is a sophisticated cartridge and a total bargain when compared with the cost of modern mono cartridges. Indeed the GE VR was the broadcast standard in the US right through to the start of the stereo era.

Use the 1.0 with early mono, and here you also have the 0.7mil option for later (very late) mono.

The place for this is most likely the Lenco forum, after Christmas distractions have passed. Not sure too many people here really know what it is or what it can do!

At the asking this was a ridiculous bargain.
