I havn't done a side by side comparison but i don't think that they are a million miles apart, i have however done a side by side with my Dundac though and the result is obvious, hence why the this is up for grabs and not Duncs, the Duncdac is more forward sounding without being harsh, and does magical things with voices in particular adding warmth and feeling to recordings, some of you might of heard it at Scalford on the end of Steves PX25 amps, the Audio Note is a bit more laid back but still sounds very good and not clinical sounding to my ears unlike some dacs which is probably down to the caps fitted.

Anyway i should be bigging up the Audio Note and not Duncs as i'm seeling it so if you want a good valve dac at a reasonable price buy this one :)

I think the description given in ebay is incorrect as the description says there are balanced and coax outputs, referring to the pictures provided the dac has balanced and coax inputs with rca single ended outputs, if it had balanced outputs i would have bought this dac, what a pity.
