Chinese RVC has had good reviews, bought by a few from eBay around £100 I think. Remote controlled.
Tisbury also do one £150 delivered.
Gary

Edit
Indeed, Oliver... Sorry, Paul. Please see the announcement (highlighted in blue) at the top of this, and indeed every other section of the forum, regarding said banned manufacturer.

I have a Tisbury pre.......yours for £100 delivered.
I have an alps blue pot with 2 inputs, in a plastic box that I got years ago off the bay. The channel balance is out at low "volumes" and I loose some rythm/foot tapping but it I can hear far more detail than I get with SS of Tube. I was hoping to find something that might move me forward, that is to say offer better channel balance and hopefully a little more foot tapping.
I was offered a branded product that spec wise appeared similar version of what I have already for £50 -but turned it down because I didnt think it would move things forward, the box looked much nicer though.

after looking at the mini I am going to pass on this too
OH DEAR ! Woops!
Apologies, Paul
I've just bought the Chinese pre and although there were some issues with the remote, now sorted, I can recommend it for sound quality. At £110 delivered it's a cracking little unit. If you do buy one and the remote plays up I now know how to fix it.

Just ordered one with upgraded transformer - from the shop page it looks as if that might be 230v against std 220v
