After my dog strayed through to the neigbours garden I got chatting
to him over the fence .. He happend to mention that he used to be an electronics engineer..
He said he uses to make his own amps for him and mates using gec px25 valves as they, in his words, "suffered from little distortion otther than thrid order"... He then went on to complain that he had sold his last matched pair a "few years back" for £60 and realised more recently he should have kept them along with the "partridge audio transformers" he used to use that now fetch "three figure numbers of your saying within reason" ...
If only I'd moved in a "few years back" eh
still he said he might be interested in making me a little amp at some point ... Happy days
