Hello, I am new to this group and looking forward to interacting with you all. I am fully retired so I have the time to indulge in the aspects of my addiction to audio, I hadnt had while working in the Fed. I love good small ensemble jazz, such as Oscar Peterson and Mozart, Bach chamber music. I'm definitely in favor of vinyl although I do have some very smooth and clean SACDs, which I play through an older Marantz DV6500. My amp is an Arcam alpha 5 integrated which is in tandem with an Adcom gtp 400 tuner preamp. So, it's obvious I enjoy older good quality stuff in general. However, my turntable is a very modded Audio Technica 120 dd turntable with a new home devised anti skate mech playing through a Schiit mani preamp. And usb/dac removed etc.w a 2m blue ortofon-awaiting a retipped Grado statement platinum. Finally, the speakers are Def. Tech. 600 wall mounts and an older Yamaha SW-120 subwoofer and a set of Grado sr80 headphones. I'd like to add a jpg photo of the turntable but the website keeps rejecting it. I assure you it's decent.
