View Full Version : Revox B750 refurbished
Looking decidedly prettier now and sounding great with a replacement potentiometer fitted . Second system.
Last picture is the before shot.

Wow. That is magnificent. Really interested to know about the process you have used here Andy.

It was a really easy one Edward.
I started this morning by applying paint stripper ( to the metal top only ) , that took about an hour before I hosed it off , I then went over the surface with wire wool to get rid of any stubborn paint, then I primed it with a grey spray paint followed by the base colour ( I forget the actual colour ) it’s a dark metallic, then I applied 3 coats of clear lacquer, the side cheeks are plastic so once cleaned they just needed the same painting process.
All in all the paint came to about £24 .
I think it looks better than the original Revox Nextel ( textured paint) .

The Alto amp. The one that Jerry originally had but bought from Brian. Did think of full chrome but that way expensive so may go for black using Andy's recipe.
