Hi Ked, while I am not a Devore owner, I listened to some 3XL’s and O-93’s extensively with Croft Micro 25 preamp and Seies 7 amplifiers. These did quite nicely on either one. Some quick comparisons made between the Croft a couple of the Line Magnetic integrated amplifiers, which also are very nice with the Devore speakers. I would also add the Tron amps too. As to OTL, not sure there.

IMHO they are not only about the power - the smaller ("smaller" :)) models with 211 or similar tubes have amazing tonal quality. i agree no need of a big transmitter tubes model.

Many times i saw with Line Magnetic amplifiers.. I also have one and using wşth 96db speaker with amazing results
