I have built many LS3/5a clones and actual LS3/5as ( from Falcon Acoustics kits ) but I’d never used any Stirling Broadcast parts.
Recently a pair of Rogers ex. BBC ‘3/5a cabinets came in to possession, so I thought I would try the Stirling replacement baffles.
These should give the same results as their V2 model if installed correctly.
I had recently owned a pair of V2s and was very impressed by them.
So I ordered a pair of Stirling baffles, along with a pair of new Stirling grilles.
Result?
Yes, they performed just as I expected.
I took them to a friend who has three pairs of LS3/5as, including a Falcon kit I constructed, and he
was surprised how good these Rogers/Stirling LS3/5as sounded.
