Hi,I have a Bang and Olufsen but it needs a new stylus and I cant spend that kind of money each time I need one. So I have just got a Technics sl-bd22 turntable and Technics SA-GX130D amp the turntable has a P24 stylus and I was wondering if there is an upgrade stylus to improve the base and treble and overall sound quality.

Hi Gordon, welcome to the forum.

I guess you already know that you need a P-mount cartridge for the Technics deck but the problem is that P-mounts are just as pricey as ordinary cartridges. Personally one of the reasons I abandoned vinyl was the cost of replacement styli which has just got silly in the last ten years. Put simply you can have a budget vinyl set up which will let you play you records but will never set the world alight for sound quality. Or, you can spend a lot of money.
