Why do does having a cold seem to feel worse on an evening? Had one for a couple of days now, was ok at work today and now feel utter crap:scratch:

Sorry to hear that, James. It's probably because you're feeling the backlash now of not giving your body a proper chance to fight the infection and recover. There's only one cure for a bad cold: stay at home, drink plenty of fluids, eat some hot soup and get plenty of rest!;)

Anyway, get well soon:)

I thought it was due to air pressure being lower in the evening: similar to, but not as extreme, as suffering a cold whilst flying.

Ha - sods law, eh!

One thing folks are often too guilty of is going into work when they're loaded with the cold (I'm not just talking a few sniffles) and subsequently spreading their germs to others! Stay at home and keep them to yourselves, lol!:eyebrows:

More seriously, you'll do yourself more harm than good, in the long run, trying to work on and fight it.

Some employers, in that respect, can be rather shortsighted, frowning at staff taking time off when they're ill because of a loss of productivity, without realising that they'll often be off for longer later, when they become *really* ill, as a result of not having given themselves time to recover before!

At the end of the day, your health will always more important than anything else:)

Suggest either change your toothbrush or at the very least pour boiling water over your existing brush
daily, a minute or two before brushing your teeth.

Reminds me of that old joke about two blokes watching a dog lick it's balls.

One says 'wish I could do that'

The other one says 'if you give him a biscuit he might let you' :D

While at a wedding a few years ago, a friend told me in confidence that his wife charged him £20 a time for blow jobs, so I asked her about it. "Oh Yes", she said, "It's how I save up for nice things, like these shoes".

The secret to a happy marriage - a bit of give and take.

Or 'One swallow doesn't make a summer, but it's a nice little earner'.

I guess it's better than a slap on the foreskin with a red-hot teabag.

Have a big spicy bowl of Menudo, Ebola may require 2 large bowls.
