Anyone checked the speed of their GL75 at 33 1/3 rpm (or any other speed) on their turntable?

Checking mine soon when I've finished the refurb, and will adjust as necessary.

If you have an Android mob, try RPM calculator..free from Playstore.
Place ur phone with app running perpendicular to platter spindle...then let her spin.....

alter speed via speed selector screw...but let motor run for an hour (I kid you not!) before you calibrate..

Thanks Don , I'll do the download in the morning and take your advice on running the turntable for an hour .

You can unscrew the whole idler arm mechanism which holds your idler wheel and set it a specific distance which generates exactly 33.3rpm, the value escapes me but it was published on LH only a couple of weeks ago. Not much help I know but might prove an easier way to control the speed of your 75 rather than relying on the speed selector mechanism.

I use the strobe and a bulb and works a treat.
Regarding the setting of the speed (and also checking the angle of the wheel is correct) on the Lenco Heaven site there are steps on how to build a device for this.

Here's mine in use:

I’ve found an optical digital meter in my workshop that I’ve had for years, will check with that as well.
