Has anybody experience with turntable Analogue Works Turntable One, TT1, which tonearm and cartridge work optimally together. How good is quality of this turntable, inspired by designs of late Tom Fletcher?

Inspired by but not built by. Hopefully, the latest models are better made and finished than the couple I had.

Yes, the Analogue Works decks are very nicely finished and the main bearings would not be out of place on decks costing many times the price.

So, you recommend purchasing used Analogue Works Turntable One? Do they have problems with main bearing on heavy platter? How about sound quality - which are comparable decks?

If you are after a Fletcher inspired deck with a low torque motor and fairly heavy platter, then the Analogue Works decks are excellent and notably good value. If you want to know more about the design, speak to Tim at Divine Audio tim@divineaudio.co.uk since he designs and builds them. I’ve seen the bearings and they are much stronger and more solid than you might expect at this price - in fact they are things of engineering beauty. The obvious comparable deck is the Nottingham Analogue Spacedeck but it’s a long time since I heard one and I can’t honestly advise you beyond that.

Also take a look at the Nottingham turntables and arms. I can vouch for their build quality, performance, fit n finish, longevity and ease of use.

I spent a couple of hours yesterday listening to an Analogue Works One turntable, which was fitted with a modest 12" Jelco TS-350L tonearm and Audio Technica VM740ML cartridge. Really lovely sound and it's still good to see a turntable with a properly machined platter that turns with 100% accuracy - no edge wobble or runout whatsoever. This is an easy deck to recommend and since I don't sell it, I'm happy to do just that.
