Hi, I'm Roland from Cheltenham, UK. Music and audio has been a long term interest of mine since the age of 15 (I'm knocking on 45 now). I've had loads a low and mid-fi systems over the years.
I've just been given the green light by SWMBO that I can get new speakers... So I'm buying a new system. With small children and HiFi in the house together I'm packing away my Gyro /OL RB250 / Reson Reca off to the study for use with the Ruark MR1 "bedroom" system (SBT, PC, MF V-link, Creek OBH14 DAC and OBH8SE phono).
For the potentially public ( to be destroyed) system in the lounge I have some Ruark Talisman ii, a Yamaha RN602 all in one amp and a systemdek IIX 900. It did come with a cartridge, that appears to have gone AWOL (at least the Goldring 1022 GX cantilever) so any help with this most welcome!
Music wise, the last gigs I went to were The The, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Ben Howard and Florence and the Machine. I was accompanying friends!
