As well as Tidal being one of the installed streamers in my Naim Muso, I also have it standalone on my iPhone and iPad, however after having to remove and reinstall it on the iPad, my playlists have disappeared, and I get a message about subscriptions, which when I select one, it give me an error message ‘999’, and tells me to contact customer support, which I have, but with no success.

Any suggestions on how to get my playlists back?

Thanks!

Was your iPad backed up?

When you open your Tidal app can you browse for something and then play it?

Hi Chris,

Firstly, in theory it should back itself up on a regular basis, and second, yes I can.
But I had at least 4 playlists with a fairly large number of songs on them.

It keeps saying ‘choose a subscription ‘
And when I press ‘restore subscription ‘ or ‘not now’ nothing happens.

sounds like your not signed in to your account properly. did you ever have a different one at some time?

The login process for Tidal is very very untidy. If you are simply using a browser you seem to have to jump through various (non obvious) screens to get to your account.

Sounds like Tidal is seeing you as a new customer and therefore prompting you in strange ways.

I find that if I browse to an album or anything on the front page of Tidal, from there I can login.

I just created a new playlist in Tidal with some test tracks on one machine. And then on a different machine (never used for Tidal before) I logged in by having to go through several screens. Once I was logged in again I could see the test playlist. When I tried to log in to the new machine Tidal did suggest I 'choose a subscription' - I just ignored that.

The key, I found, is to get to an album before logging in and from there the login process works.

Hmmm...it just brings me round to the ‘choose subscription ‘ again!

might have to clear the cache and reinstall.. i would go on their support web page and see if there is help available. There were issues with some free trials i believe recently. so this may have a bearing.

Never had a free trial, just keep getting ‘error 999’ contact customer support.

That in itself is like trying to plait steam.

Sorted!

Thanks for your suggestions!

What I can’t get my head around is that despite only doing what I previously did, ie, delete the app and reinstall, it sorted the problem!
